A true breakaway
piece, this work followed the Artist's
black and white period and transition
back to color. In this piece, "Color"
appears to be trying to break free
from the gray tones behind it, leaving
behind only a shadow of its former
self. It is a juxtaposition of the
old and new, with different media
representing each phase.
Tech Specs: The three-dimensional work was constructed
with a thin plywood backing plane
painted in gray tones to which 150
pound watercolor was attached to the
wood. Acrylic medium was used to shape
the paper and paint it.
Recommended Use: An ideal piece for anyone struggling to move on or has had the courage to
make that break.
